About the position

We are seeking a creative, design savvy and highly proficient Mobile Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You must have experience using React Native to create beautiful mobile applications. As a Mobile Software Engineer at Dovly, you will plan, design, code and maintain Dovly’s iOS and Android mobile app (React Native), as well as contribute to our React web codebase for web. This role will work closely with Dovly’s product managers and software engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, code and maintain Dovly’s iOS and Android applications using React Native
• Contribute to Dovly’s web js codebase using React
• Optimize existing js code for maintainability and performance
• Add to the creative process; build beautiful components while adhering to Dovly’s existing design aesthetic
• Create and maintain API endpoints using PHP (Laravel)
• Conduct team code reviews
• Be an active contributor and collaborator in our agile team environment
• Work closely with our onshore and offshore development teams, product manager and engineering leader
• Write clean and well-documented code that is built for maximum performance and scalability
• Share feedback and knowledge for continuous team improvement

Skills required / qualifications:

• Advanced to Expert with javascript, including React Native and React
• Novice to expert in PHP (Experience with Laravel a plus)
• Creative, with an eye for details and design
• Experience working with design systems
• Experience with Figma a plus
• Experience with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with code versioning tools and branching strategies (Git)
• Knowledge of TDD concepts; Familiarity with js unit testing frameworks
• Self-motivated and proactive; team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
