Design Manager
As a Design Manager at Fullbay, you will lead and grow a team of Product Designers to define, enhance, and execute Fullbay’s UX vision. This role requires a balance of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on design expertise. You will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and coaching designers while ensuring the team delivers intuitive, high-impact experiences for Fullbay’s customers. As a thought leader in the engineering organization, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Executive teams to drive a UX strategy that simplifies complexity and enhances user satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong design skills, people management experience, and the ability to navigate multiple priorities while fostering a culture of innovation and user- centric problem-solving.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, coach, and manage a high-performing team of designers, fostering career growth and skill development.
- UX Vision & Strategy: Lead the development of Fullbay’s UX vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving user needs.
- Thought Leadership: Advocate for design excellence within the engineering and product organizations, challenging assumptions and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives to define design priorities and ensure seamless integration of UX into product development.
- Design Process Improvement: Establish and refine design workflows, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage customer insights, usability testing, and behavioral data to inform design strategies and measure impact.
- Conflict Resolution & Prioritization: Navigate competing priorities, resolving conflicts across teams while keeping a clear focus on user and business needs.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide continuous feedback, and address performance challenges to maintain high standards of design execution.
- Execution & Delivery: Ensure design initiatives are executed with quality and efficiency, driving UX improvements that enhance customer experience and product usability.
- Adheres to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Masters degree preferred.
- 10+ years of UX/Product Design experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong track record of delivering high-quality design solutions for SaaS or enterprise products.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating withcross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design principles.
