We are excited to announce the launch of the Navi Nurses Guaranteed Hours Cohort, a pilot program designed to ensure consistency in staffing, reward commitment, and recognize the exceptional care provided by our nurses to clients each day. This program offers a guaranteed hourly rate for nurses who agree to commit to specific monthly hours and assist in covering weekend shifts. As a Private Duty Nurse in the Guaranteed Hours Cohort, you will provide care that is patient-centered and promotes overall health and well-being over a set number of hours each week.

Private Duty RN Role Summary

The Private Duty RN is responsible for delivering the highest quality, personalized nursing care to clients in their home while utilizing the co-created care plan. You will serve as an essential healthcare partner, delivering comprehensive assessments, medication management, post-surgical care, and advocacy services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate exemplifies the core values of Navi Nurses through their interactions with clients, nurses, medical providers, and all individuals associated with the care needs of the client.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized care to clients as indicated by their co-created care plans while adhering to Navi Standards of Care and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments including vital signs for all client visits while assessing overall health status, monitoring for changes, and evaluating overall progress.
  • Administer prescribed medications ensuring correct dosages, and timing while providing medication reviews and education to the clients.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences by anticipating patient needs, addressing concerns proactively, and striving to exceed expectations with every client encounter.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, serving as their healthcare advocate, updating Navi Nurses navigator team of any changes in plan of care or medications.
  • Provide post-hospitalization and post-procedure care, ensuring smooth and successful transitions home.
  • Embody the core beliefs, mission, and vision of Navi with enthusiasm and authenticity and expresses them clearly to the client throughout their health journey
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Navigator team and client's healthcare team, including physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff as needed or requested.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking in the home setting while utilizing evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Navi’s scheduling platforms, electronic health records, and healthcare applications.

Qualifications

  • 3 months of experience as a Navi Nurses Contractor
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Arizona in good standing
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with both clients and healthcare professionals
  • Specialty certifications (WOCN, hospice, IV therapy) highly valued
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Compassionate approach to client care with attention to detail

Commitment Requirements

  • Successful completion of required weekly hourly commitment of 24 hours
  • Successful completion of 2 weekend (Sat or Sun) shifts per month.
  • Ability to adhere to co-created care plans and client schedules
  • Flexibility to accommodate client needs within scheduling parameters
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits
  • No infractions or disciplinary actions in the last 30 days
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and health assessments as required.

Benefits

  • Guaranteed hours and pay
  • Increased hourly pay rate of $65/hour
  • Second access to new shifts
  • Optional quarterly appreciation lunch or leadership drop-ins
  • First access to additional bonused shifts

Compensation

  • $65/hour for meeting minimum hours and weekend shift requirements.
  • $65/hour if minimum hours are not met due to lack of available shifts.
  • $60/hour for hours worked if available hours are not met.

Weekly reports will be generated by the payroll team to track hours and weekend shifts. Eligibility for guaranteed pay will be confirmed based on the tracked data.

Important notes:

  • Bonus shifts do not count toward required hours (base rate shifts only).
  • Two or more call-outs in a month may result in removal from the cohort or reverting to a $60/hour pay rate.
