Scope of Job
Product management at PowerFlex is a hands-on and cross-functional role. Product Managers are essential in planning, building, and supporting hardware and software products that our users love coming back to, time and again. We hire Product Managers who place a premium on scalability, security, and supportability.

Location
This role is open to be 100% remote or a hybrid role out of one of our offices (Mountain View, CA, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA or New York, NY.) For candidates not based in Mountain View, CA or greater Bay Area, quarterly travel to the Mountain View Office would be required.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Develop and articulate a sharp vision for hardware and software products that align with PowerFlex’s mission to drive sustainable energy solutions.
- Create and maintain a strategic roadmap, defining long-term and short-term objectives that support both market needs and technological advancements.
Product Development & Management
- Lead the product lifecycle from concept through development, launch, and post-launch enhancements and support.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define product requirements, ensuring that specifications meet both the technical and customer needs.
Market & Customer Insight
- Be an expert in understanding current trends, potential customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Regularly engage with customers and incorporate their feedback and insights into product development processes to ensure the product meets market demand.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Serve as the key liaison between cross functional teams, including engineering, product marketing, business development, and customer support, ensuring alignment and facilitation communication.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and vendors, assisting with contract negotiations and ensuring compliance with various company and industry standards.
QA & Performance Monitoring
- Establish rigorous testing protocols and QA processes to ensure the products meet the highest standards of reliability and functionality.
- Monitor product performance against key metrics to identify areas for improvement and guide future product enhancements.
Qualifications
- Your specific combination of education and/or experience translates into your ability to deliver shippable products.
- Prior professional experience in hardware product management, especially related to IoT, edge compute, and other technologies.
- Startup experience and comfort with the tech industry is desired.
- A commitment to shaping the future of sustainable energy and transportation.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $102,500 - $171,000 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.
Physical Requirements
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Working Conditions
90-100% of time is spent in an office environment, using computers, phones, and general office equipment. Business travel may be required.
