Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated T-SQL Developer with extensive experience in SQL Server development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database structures. This role requires a deep understanding of SQL Server, database design principles, and performance tuning. What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Optimize and tune T-SQL code for performance and efficiency.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and constraints.
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with applications.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to resolve data-related issues.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through appropriate database management practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to database design and development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server features, tools, and best practices.
- Support database deployment and migration activities.
This is a performance-driven, remote position. You have to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision.
What You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL Server development with a strong focus on T-SQL.
- Proficiency in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing strategies.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL Server tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SQL Profiler.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Familiarity with other database technologies and programming languages.
- Knowledge of data modeling tools and methodologies.
- Experience with database administration tasks such as backups, restores, and security management.
- Certification in SQL Server (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is a plus.
