TELEVEDA’S MISSION

Everyday over 10,000 people turn 65 years old. But a lot of them are unable to get out of their home and unable to attend socialize due to a number of factors that range from disabilities, mobility issues, strains of therapy, access to transportation, weather, exhaustion, and feelings of inadequacy in peer settings (and also global virus outbreaks!). Televeda brings the community to them.

Our mission is to design solutions that alleviate social isolation. We empower organizations with infrastructure to live-stream events and wellness programs for their members. We are privileged to work with communities and nonprofits nationwide who are tirelessly working to keep people happy and healthy. We are proud of working with our blossoming community of users who range from seniors, children with special needs, homeless veterans and members of underserved areas.

*COMMUNITY MANAGER ROLE *

Televeda’s Community Manager is a combination of marketing, outreach and customer success. You'll be at the forefront of communications, support users through a number of channels, making suggestions, evangelizing and supporting our members through a variety of ways.

The Community Manager will take ownership for onboarding & retention, where success will be measured by attendance, impact, feedback and referrals.

Role:

For first 90-days this role is part time, and includes:

  1. Member Outreach: You would be responsible for introducing and onboarding new members on the platform successfully. Outreach would be conducted via phone and in-person sessions.
  2. Email marketing: You can launch and develop our community newsletter our custom targeted email campaigns.
  3. General marketing: Support class promotion via event distribution, marketing collateral, and promotional videos.
  4. Instructor onboarding: You're excited to work within the community and be client-facing as well, helping teach new instructors and class hosts all about the Televeda platform.
  5. Engagement campaigns: Creating out-of-the-box marketing campaigns & collateral to engage members and encourage live events.
  6. Event planning: Source new instructors or content you think would be great to add to our calendar of events and adding it to the backend so everyone can join these classes seamlessly.
  7. Reporting & Analysis: Eye for detail to track outreach, develop weekly reports and review event attendance metrics to suggest new ways to improve community metrics.
  8. Member engagement: Interact with our members on our Facebook page, private Facebook group, and during class!

Note, this role 100% has the potential and opportunity to grow into a full time role if it is a mutal fit, and the Televeda mission is something you're passionate about!

REQUIREMENTS WE ARE LOOKING FOR …

  1. Take ownership and accountability for your work. Does not need micromanaging, and can take initiative like a leader.
  2. Experience building communities and handling groups (preferably online, but in-person also works)
  3. Outgoing: Prior experience with phone-sales, event management or customer facing roles is preferred.
  4. Experience working with seniors, special abilities, or nonprofits is a plus.
  5. Ability to work with analytical and publishing tools like newsletters, surveys, social media and various support channels. This requires a mixture of brand thinking and analytical skills. Tools used include Mailchimp, Canva, Crisp, WebFlow.
  6. Ability to negotiate bookings, events, and coordinate logistics associated with events
  7. Act with integrity and help care for the vulnerable, elderly and those with disabilities. Your goal is to foster a safe and healthy community.
